Payday loans in the Wall Street Journal
Payday loans were covered in the New York Times back in August of 2007. The article
stated that payday loans are small, short-term loans, about 2 weeks in duration,
or until payday, that are provided by stores specializing in cash advances. It went
on to say that these loans were nearly non-existent as little as 15 years ago, and
that payday loan stores now outnumber fast food franchises.
